Dickies (UK) Limited is moving into retail for the first time in this country when it opens for business on May 14th with a stand-alone store at the Outlet Shopping Village, ‘Junction 32’, Carrwood Road, Glasshoughton, Nr Castleford, West Yorkshire WF10 4SB.

The new, 1500 sq ft Dickies store at Unit H7 will carry a large stock of tough but comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for all industries; one particular range that is expected to sell especially well is a selection of stylish and fashionable garments and footwear called ‘Dickies 22’, which has been created for the modern worker who wants practical and durable clothing whilst looking and feeling good.
The company chose ‘Junction 32’ as their first retail outlet because of its excellent location and busy footfall. It is expected that the new store will provide new jobs for up to 10 people.
A 10% introductory discount on all items is being offered by the company to all Castleford Tigers season ticket holders.
Maurice Morton, Sales and Marketing Director for the company says “The company first started in Texas, USA in 1922 so we have built up an enormous amount of experience over the years, researching and studying virtually every working environment and discovering exactly what is needed to provide our customers with the best possible comfort and long-lasting protection in even the toughest situations. Now we are pleased to be in a position to showcase our products to the public through our first, carefully selected consumer outlet.”
